exciting update!

Assalamualaikum my truly beloved friends....

First of all, i would like to apologize to you guys since i haven't given you any update regarding the project. Actually, alhamdulillah our proposal has been reviewed by the dean office and student affair and it has been approved.

However, we were told that we will not be granted any funds for that project. Shockingly, there is no allocated funds for the whole final project. It seems that, the final-year-project-to-replace-the-islamic-input syllabus proposed by Prof Ariff was too late. And the finance for some reasons that none of human brain could possibly understand, was unable to include any funds for this project for the budget year 2010. Therefore, the money will only be available starting budget year 2011, which obviously too late for us.

For your information, the Kuliyyah had appointed Mr Amin to replace Prof Ariff to handle this final year project since he is currently continuing his studies on Cardiothoracic Anesthesia in USM. Tomorrow we are going to rectify this problem with Mr Amin and ask for solution quickly.

If i'm not mistaken the surgery posting had changed their highly anticipated Orang Asli project to family day. It make sense since the project require much less money, so that they can cover the expenses themselves. I was thinking proposing a simpler project for instances, inter-posting sport day, raya haji gatherings or sukan aneka kind of thing. Sadly to say it is already too late for us to search for external sponsor which require a lot of time, paperworks and bureaucracy. We are aiming to finish this project as soon as possible since delaying it may interfere with our preparation for Professional Exam which should be less than 5 month from now (come on, someone need to mention it). Hence we are thinking of following their foot step, since our career talk requires quite a lot of money, unless we can find a way to cop money.

But that depends on the discussion with Mr Amin tomorrow.

I will give you any update regarding this matter in a short time,
Any suggestion or advice from you guys is highly appreciated.

mula² cdg nak wat 20hb.. tapi kenduri hafis m. Tob pada 20hb.. so kita anjakkan seminggu...
so aku akan wat poll.. sape yg setuju leh undi.. sape yg tak pon leh gak undi.. kalau ada cdgkan utk tarikh lain, sila tinggalkan komen.. thanks..

Update for catering..

Salam kawan2...
ptg ni, kami bersama2 dgn ketua catering dh survey for food utk our event nnt..
so, kami telah berjaya mendapat harga yg berpatutan la..
tp yg menjadi persoalan skrg, nk pilih menu nya..breakfast n for tea break dh ada food yg sesuai..
tp utk lunch, nak mintak pendapat kawan2 smua...

sila pilh / bg cadangan lain kalau ada :)

Setakat ni, kami pilih :
Nasi + ayam goreng+ nenas masak lemak+sayur campur...

kalau ada suggestion utk pape lauk yg korg rasa best or gabungan lauk yg sedap, amat dialu2 kan..

Satu lg..either nak makanan tu secara buffet or dh siap bungkus terus dlm polisterin..

Buffet style~
Pros:
  • Makanan nampak mcm mahal dan lebih menyelerakan...
  • semua org bole ambil ikut kuantiti yg diperlukan and dimahukan..
Cons:
  • Perlu sediakan dlm kuantiti yg lebih sbb takut tak cukup sbb takut ada yg teramik terlebih byk berbanding yg di-budget kan...so, nnt kena guna duit lebih byk to make sure that everyone get the food.
  • Kena beratur panjang time mereka nk gi amik makanan tu...akan ambil masa yg lama..
Bungkus dlm polisterin~
Pros:
  • Semua org dpt makanan dlm kuantiti yg sma byk..so, adil lagi saksama
  • Proses pengambilan makanan akan jd lebih cepat dan mudah..
Cons:
  • Makanan tak nampak mcm mahal..takut ada yg bising nnt, cakap bayar rm5, tp makanan tak menarik..
  • penggunaan polisterin akan mencemarkan alam sekitar..hehe :P

Pengumuman!

Salam,
Prof afif dah go though kite punye proposal and die think that Dr Ramly would be a better person for the Forum instead of Dr Azlin as a panel speaker in forum "Marriage, Family and Career". Die kate that's his opinion but we can always disagree. aku dah lupe, kenape kite pilih dr azlin aritu? Die pun ade mentioned we should not put budget for honorarium and gift for the lecturers. He still did not response when ask how much budget allocated for this program.

Anyway, kite kene buat meeting untuk discuss pasal jobscope, this week agak padat skit, sape ade cadangan bile nak wat meeting? kite buat malam nak tak? petang jumaat kah? lala...

Proposal for the Career Talk "So what's Next?"

Introduction

The project proposed by group A for our final year project is a career talk entitled “So, What’s Next : Life after medical school”. We feel that this project is requisite as a guide for medical students especially those in their final year. We hope that this talk will be able to elucidate students on their options after graduating. This will cover career options, further studies, coping with life as a houseman as well advice on marriage and supporting a family.

The speakers intended for this talk will range from fresh IIUM graduates to seasoned, veteran doctors. Details of this programme are as follows:
